These terms and conditions apply to your use of chakrastore.com.au and to any order you place with Chakra Store, 179 Acland Street, St Kilda, Victoria. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we look after your personal information.
Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where these terms and the law differ, the law applies.
Placing an order
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy the products in your cart at the prices shown. We accept your order when we send you an order confirmation email. If we are unable to accept your order, for example because a product has sold out, a price was displayed incorrectly, or we cannot verify your payment, we will let you know and refund anything you have paid in full.
You must be 18 or over to place an order. Please check your order carefully before you pay, including the delivery address, as we may not be able to change an order once it has been dispatched.
Prices and payment
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Shipping is added at checkout and is shown before you pay. We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect an order we have already confirmed.
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit or debit card via PayPal. You can pay with your card through PayPal’s secure checkout. You do not need a PayPal account.
- Direct bank transfer. Our account details are shown at checkout and in your order confirmation email. Please use your order number as the payment reference. Orders paid by bank transfer are dispatched once the funds have reached our account. If payment does not arrive within a reasonable time, we may cancel the order and return the items to stock.
Shipping
We ship anywhere in Australia using Australia Post. All orders are sent from our shop in St Kilda, Melbourne. We do not currently ship overseas.
- Shipping cost. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your parcel and where it is going. Where Australia Post offers it, you can choose between standard and express delivery. You pay one shipping charge per order, no matter how many items are in it.
- Free shipping on orders of $150 or more. Standard shipping is free when your order comes to $150 or more, after any discounts and before shipping.
- Bulky items. Some larger pieces, such as furniture and large statues, cost a lot more to send and are marked as bulky items. If your cart contains a bulky item, free shipping applies once your order reaches $300 rather than $150. A note in your cart will let you know when this applies. Especially large or one-of-a-kind pieces may need a custom shipping quote, and we will contact you about this before your order is dispatched.
- Pick up in store. You are welcome to collect your order from the shop at 179 Acland Street, St Kilda, free of charge. Choose “Pick up In-store” at checkout and we will email you when your order is ready.
- Delivery address. Please make sure your delivery address is complete and correct. We cannot take responsibility for parcels delivered to an incorrect or incomplete address that you have given us.
Shipping charges are not refundable unless the item you received was faulty or not what you ordered.
Delivery times
We aim to have your order in your hands within 10 business days of receiving your payment. Most orders arrive sooner. Delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed, particularly during sale periods, around Christmas, and when Australia Post is experiencing delays. Once your order has been dispatched we will email you a tracking number so you can follow its progress.
Returns and exchanges
Changed your mind?
If you are not happy with something you bought online, you can return it to us within 21 days of receiving it for an exchange or a store credit to the same value. We do not offer refunds for change of mind. To be accepted, items must be unworn, unused, and in their original condition with any tags and packaging.
Please email us at info@chakrastore.com.au with your name and order number before sending anything back, so we can look out for it. Return postage for change of mind is at your cost, and if you would like an exchange, please include a prepaid, self-addressed satchel for us to send the new item to you.
Some items cannot be returned for change of mind:
- Sale items are final and cannot be exchanged or returned, unless they are faulty or not what you ordered.
- Earrings and body jewellery cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind, for hygiene reasons.
- Items that have been worn, washed, damaged or altered in any way will not be accepted.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If an item arrives faulty or damaged, or is not what you ordered, please email us as soon as you can with your order number and a photo of the problem. We will arrange a replacement, a repair, or a full refund, and we will cover the cost of return postage and of sending the replacement. If the problem is a major failure, you may choose between a replacement and a refund.
Our products
Many of our products are hand-made from natural materials, including crystals, gemstones, timber and textiles, and are sourced from artisans around the world. Natural variations in colour, pattern, size and finish are part of what makes each piece unique, so the item you receive may differ slightly from the photograph on our website. Some pieces are one of a kind. If you would like to know more about a particular item before you order, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
Crystals, incense and other spiritual products are sold for their beauty and their traditional and cultural use. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological or financial advice, and we make no claims about their healing or therapeutic effects.
Product availability and pricing errors
We do our best to keep the website accurate and up to date, but occasionally a product may sell out before our stock levels update, or a price may be displayed incorrectly. If this happens after you have ordered, we will contact you and offer a replacement, the option to wait for the product to come back into stock, or a full refund.
Your account
You can shop as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity that takes place under your account. Please let us know straight away if you believe someone else has used it.
Website content
The content of this website, including our photographs, product descriptions, logo and design, belongs to Chakra Store or is used with permission. You are welcome to browse and share links to our pages, but please do not copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without asking us first. We take care to keep the information on the website accurate, but we cannot promise that it is free of errors, or that the website will always be available without interruption.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, Chakra Store is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or from any product purchased through it. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to replacing the product, supplying an equivalent product, or refunding the price you paid.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the website at the time you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
